Best value micro cut paper shredder in the market! : SIMPLYSHRED SG-830C ULTRA QUIET HEAVY DUTY 15-SHEET PAPER CD, MICRO-CUT SHREDDER
This shredder is simply the best home/office shredder I've used or owned.
The Pros:
1) It does what the manufacturer claims it will do - it will shred 15 pages without a complaint - every time!
2) The shed size is very small, which greatly enhances security. The shred size of the SG-830CC is significantly smaller than standard cross-cut size. Standard cross-cut and strip shredding are obsolete, and only provide minimal security against amateur thieves.
3) Reliable - not one hiccup in over a year and a half of moderate use.
The Cons:
1) The basket design does not facilitate the disposal process. Emptying the basket is unfortunately as messy as any other shredder design.
2) The base is perhaps a little narrow for the size of the shreder, which makes a top-heavy shredder relatively easy to knock over.
In short, the pros well outweigh the cons in terms of performance. The cons are common to most small and medium shredders. Shredding is a messy business and that's hard to fix - but a wider base would help solve tip-over concerns.
